My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sir Thomas Pilaf showed up to a managed colony in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn, where he made it very clear to the colony caretakers that he was meant to snuggle -- so they got him inside and boy did he deliver!

Sir Thomas is an extremely affectionate goofball. His current foster describes him as "a sweet, playful velcro cat," who follows them around the apartment. He loves to be part of the party -- okay, the center of attention -- and will happily come out for pets when guests drop by, holding court and literally chatting with you and your friends.

A few of his favorite things include getting scritches on top of his head, scratching his big, tall scratching post, chasing sun rays and light reflections on the wall, playing with his kicker catnip toys, helping his foster in the kitchen and taste-testing all cat-safe food, snuggling with humans, and getting kisses on his forehead!

Our dear Sir has a lot of energy for play and affection and when he's tuckered out will snore in his sleep, preferably cradled between legs. Given his intelligence, high energy levels, and food motivation, we think he'd be a great candidate for clicker training and other positive reinforcement training! He's already learning and following some verbal cues.

Now that he's been inside for a few months, the stress of being abandoned and without a reliable food source are waning. Once he's settled in his forever home, we know all the great strides he's already made will continue to blossom.

Sir Thomas Pilaf can't wait to meet his person/people -- experienced cat folks with no other pets who will give him the affection, love, enrichment, and care he so richly deserves. In turn, you will receive endless love from your best furry friend.
