My name is Obie and I am a very playful boy with lots of expression. I am super friendly, curious and loving. I love going on hikes and exploring all the outdoors.
I am currently in a foster home, but would really love to have a home and family of my very own.
I am smart and know basic commands like sit and shake. I can sometimes be a goofball. I'm good with other dogs and would do well in an active home where I can get exercise and/or walks every day or even have a 4 legged sibling. I do guard my food and toys so we'd have to eat separately, but we are working on that and I'm making good progress.

More about this rescue
We are a non-profit rescue organization who helps rescue dogs and sometimes other animals from Contra Costa Animal Services as well as other local shelters; usually the scared, overlooked or often the ones off the euthanasia list. We also rescue dogs who have been injured or abandoned trying to keep them from having to go into the shelter after looking for an owner. We then place them in foster homes to decompress and learn to be part of a family as well as learn structure and boundaries. If needed and we can, we also have trainers that help prepare our dogs for adoption.
