Trevor is a goofball of a dog that is so deserving of a fresh start in life. He's about 4 years old and he was found in the fall of 2022 as a stray. Trevor is a touch on the neurological side. Nothing serious, but he does spin occasionally when he's excited. He's like an innocent baby that just wants to have fun! He loves rolling around on his back on a soft blanket or in the grass, and he has a blast zooming after a toy or kicking up a little dirt in our exercise yard. He loves people, he's good on a leash and gentle with treats and toys. Trevor needs a cat-free home but he's open to meeting other dogs. Trevor needs a prescription diet for now so due to this, he's available for foster or adoption. As his foster, WE provide for him medically, YOU just provide the great home! We require a completed adoption application which can be obtained at our facility, or from our website: www.ahscares.org. We also require proof of home ownership if you own, or a copy of a lease stating that pets are allowed with no restrictions if you rent. We require vet records for any pets owned in the last five years as well. Our adoption fees vary based on age, breed, etc. Please call our facility for exact fee 609-693-1900.

Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
The Society is a not for profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.
