Reeses Puppycups is such a special girl of about 8 years old that was dealt a really rough paw in life. Her owners abandoned her when they were evicted from their home. When Reeses was finally found, she was emaciated, dehydrated, and in desperate need of care. Once we got her all cleaned up, a thorough examination revealed more than just neglect. Reeses had several tumors removed from various areas and finally, she is doing fantastic and is ready to move on to a loving home! Reeses is not a fan of other pets but she sure loves people, and she is so well-behaved, affectionate, friendly, and an all-around great girl. She loves running and playing from time to time but is also very mellow too. You'll need to speak to our veterinarian regarding her medical care going forward, but Reeses is doing so well now and she hopes that you'll give her the fresh start she's so deserving of. Reeses is available for foster or adoption. Call 609-693-1900 or email: office@ahsppz.org for an application. File#69053 11/9/23

More about this shelter
The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.
For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
The Society is a not for profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.
