Arden is an absolute bundle of joy! She's about 6 1/2 years old and she was found with some other dogs that were all strays together on the city streets. Arden seems happy to meet other dogs so if you have one, bring them in and we'll see how they do. She positively adores people and she's your instant best friend. Arden has had lots of training in her life! Although she's pretty strong on a leash, she settles right down with a harness on. She knows lots of commands like sit, stay, down, and more. Arden is a little nutso over toys! She's not protective over them or anything of the sort, but she absolutely loves toys, balls, playing fetch, you name it and Arden will play it! She's lots of fun and she would be so happy to have a yard that she could romp and roam in every day. She would be thrilled to be the newest member of your family! We require a completed adoption application which can be obtained at our facility, or from our website: www.ahscares.org. We also require proof of home ownership if you own, or a copy of a lease stating that pets are allowed with no restrictions if you rent. We require vet records for any pets owned in the last five years as well. Our adoption fees vary based on age, breed, etc. Please call our facility for exact fee 609-693-1900.

The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.

For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.

The Society is a not for profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.
