Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Picasso — A True Work of Heart!
Picasso is a beautiful blend of loyalty, playfulness, and calm, and he’s ready to find a home where he can truly thrive. At just over 4 years old, this gentleman brings the perfect mix of energy and house manners — ready for fun, but happy to relax.
What makes Picasso special?
Enjoys jogging, tug-of-war, and squirrel-watching (he takes his yard patrol duties seriously!)
Loves car rides and settles in like a seasoned pro
House-trained and keeps a clean home
Great when left alone — calm, respectful, and non-destructive
Crate-comfortable and enjoys napping in his own space
Polite indoors — doesn’t beg for food or jump on furniture (unless he’s invited for a snuggle!)
Knows basic obedience skills and loves learning
Independent but affectionate — he enjoys attention on his terms and bonds deeply with his people
While he can still get a little bouncy when playing, Picasso is learning how to balance his playful side with calm companionship. With a bit of structure and a lot of love, he continues to blossom into a confident, trusting dog.
His ideal home includes:
- A calm environment where he’s the only pet — one-on-one connection is where he truly shines
- A secure, fenced yard to explore, stretch his legs, and, of course, monitor for squirrels
- A patient and kind human who understands that trust takes time — but the reward is a deeply loyal companion
- An active lifestyle with space for play and moments of peace
From a recent sleepover host:
“Picasso has so much love to give and immense potential. Once removed from the shelter and given space to build trust, he blossoms. He is an amazing dog, and with the right person, he’ll become the most loyal and joyful companion imaginable.”
Whether you’re ready to adopt or foster, Picasso is looking for someone to believe in him. All he needs is a chance — and a safe place to call home.
Come meet Picasso — he’s more than a good boy; he’s a masterpiece waiting for his frame.
