My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Eloise (Weezy/Kitty Karen)
Weezy, breezy, beautiful cover cat is the quirkiest little girl! She loves snuggling, playing in boxes and paper bags, snacks, giving her foster mom manicures, and her favorite TV show is Love on the Spectrum!

She's also quite talkative - she will always tell you stories about the birds and squirrels and bugs that she tried to hunt while looking out the window, but if you're late with breakfast she will start yelling and ask to speak to your manager. She is quite famous for her 1 star reviews on yelp (hence the kitty Karen).

She does well with other cats and is always trying to get the dogs in her foster home to play with her! What she loves most though, is being with YOU, her person! She would be a great companion for someone who works from home as she really just wants to sleep next to you all day.

She does have a bit of anxiety and needs to take Prozac everyday - so her person has to be willing to make this inexpensive and easy to administer commitment! (She was having potty accidents outside of the box but the Prozac put that to an end!)

She's spayed, vaccinated, and an amateur comedian and her adoption fee is $150. Apply here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SFP-A-293

Please note applications must be completely filled out in order to move to the next phase of the process. Meet and greets will be scheduled after application review. We do our best to get back to applicants within 72 hours; but we are completely volunteer run so we appreciate your patience!

More about this rescue

We are a foster based animal rescue in the Nashville area.

Our mission is to work as a shelter diversion for animals who are facing homelessness, through no fault of their own. We provide vet care, a foster and adoption for animals belonging to owners who are homeless or living below the poverty level, where rehoming is their only option.

The majority of SOARescue animals come to us through our big sister organization SAFPAW (Southern Alliance for People and Animal Welfare).
If you would like to learn more about SAFPAW and their weekly spay/neuter transport, homeless outreach program and women's post recovery home, please visit their website at www.safpaw.org.

If SOARescue has the capacity to aid with other strays or owner surrenders, we will gladly do so. Our goal is to help relieve pressure on the over-burdened shelter system.
