My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I’m Poet—your soulful little low-rider with a big heart for other pups.

I may be middle-aged, but don’t let that fool you—I’ve still got plenty of pep in my step and a serious love for doggy hangouts. Whether it’s a pack walk, a group play session, or just chilling at the park with my fur crew, I’m happiest when I’m with my fellow canines. I do best with slow intros (a girl likes to feel things out first), but once we click, it’s game on!

I live for the simple joys in life: long, peaceful walks (especially with a pack), car rides, and running errands where I can be your trusty co-pilot, and a good spa day—I’ll even let you do my nails. You’ll often catch me sunbathing or lounging during a chill dog social. That’s my kind of vibe.

I’m a pretty independent gal. I love my people and appreciate their company, but I’m not a snuggler or a belly-rub beggar. My vibe is more “cool companion” than “clingy shadow.” I’ll look to you for guidance, structure, and connection—because trust is everything to me.

I do have a small health issue, but it’s well-managed with meds and a healthy diet (my amazing foster can fill you in on all the details). Speaking of my foster, she calls me a “little button of joy.” She says I’m sassy, playful, full of personality, and oh-so-lovable—just not in the cuddly way.

If you’re looking for a chill, low-riding sidekick who loves dogs, respects boundaries, and will make your pack complete, I just might be your girl.

Sincerely and always,
Poet
