Dear Future Family,
My name is Luna Lou. I am 3 and new to Bulldog Haven. Here are the most important things you should know about me:
1. I only want to cuddle and be with you. It could be intermixed with the occasional short walk. And by short, I mean you'll be dragged to the spot I will do my business and immediately back to the front door.
2. I really do best in a calm environment. Don't tell my foster mom, but the other loud foster dog really scares me. I start shaking and refuse to go near him. But once he stops being annoying, I am fine again.
3. I'd probably be ok with older children who understand I do best with a quiet home.
4. I am ok with other dogs as long as they are non-reactive. If they ignore me, I'll ignore them. Also, we keep our toys and food separate, I'm cool with that set up.
5. I don't know how I'd be around cats, but seeing as how I like to bark at the squirrels that come up to the window, I'd probably chase the kitties. So I'm not sure it'd be an ideal situation.
6. My biggest issue is my allergy situation, which is being assessed. I am very itchy and it causes bigger problems. So while all the doctors are working at helping me try to keep that under control, I'll be in foster care. Once we have a good idea of how to manage the itchiness, I'll be adoptable. But should you think I'd be a good fit for your family, please put your application in!
Sniff, sniff, woof!
Luna

Adoption fees are based on the breed, health, age, and behavioral status of each dog. All dogs are microchipped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, flea/worm treated and have had a wellness exam before becoming adoptable. If you are interested in adopting a BHNW dog, please fill out the online application. If you are matched to the dog you are interested in or another dog in our program, you will be contacted by the foster family. Prior to adopting, there is a mandatory home evaluation to ensure your home and family are ready for that dog. We require a contract for all adoptions and there is a two-week trial to ensure a good match. If for any reason you can no longer care for the dog you adopted from us, that dog must be returned to our program.
