Sassy was in a home with several other dogs, most likely all related from various litters. Her owner called to see if we could take some of the dogs as he just couldn't take care of so many. Sassy is a beautiful 8 lb Chiweenie who does well with other dogs her size. She can be a bit shy at first and a little nippy if rushed or scared until she gets comfortable with you. Once she gets to know you, she is a lover and loves to be with her person. Her new home will require a fenced yard. She is believed to have been born around 10/30/2020. She needs a home with no small children as she does have a tendency to nip if frightened or if someone moves too fast. She is a happy girl and loves to play! If you think you are a good fit for her, please go to pawspaws.org to complete the application. Please note: if our babies are still pictured, they are still available for an application. Also, the Petfinder Inquiry is not the PAWS application so please be sure to complete the PAWS application if you would like to be considered. Her adoption fee is $300.

Approve Application
Once we receive the application, we will process it and call you if approved to set up a meet and greet.

Meet the Pet
If we feel you are a good match, we will complete the Adoption Contract,review with you, and collect the adoption fee.
4.
Take the Pet Home
Then we will send you and your new family member home!

Dogs: The adoption fees for PAWS puppies and dogs start at $200. Occasionally, the adoption fee will be higher and, if that is the case, it will be noted on the animal's profile. When you adopt your new dog or puppy, it will be spayed or neutered, wormed, micro-chipped, and up to date on routine shots. If it is six months or older, it will have been tested for heartworms and placed on a heartworm preventative.
Cats: The adoption fee for most PAWS kittens and cats is $75. When you adopt your new cat or kitten, it will be spayed or neutered, wormed, micro-chipped, and up to date on its shots, with the exception of its rabies shot, which must be given by a vet. IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO ADOPT A CAT OR KITTEN, BE SURE TO BRING A CARRIER OR PET TAXI WITH YOU. WE CANNOT SEND A CAT/KITTEN HOME UNLESS IT IS IN A CARRIER/PET TAXI.
We certainly recommend that you continue your pet's routine vaccination regimen with your veterinarian.
SAME DAY ADOPTIONS ARE NOT ALWAYS POSSIBLE, SO IF YOU ARE DRIVING FROM A DISTANCE, PLEASE MAKE ADVANCE ARRANGEMENTS.
IF YOU RENT, YOU MUST BRING A SIGNED RENTAL AGREEMENT FROM YOUR LANDLORD STATING THAT IT IS OKAY FOR YOU TO HAVE AN ANIMAL IN THE HOUSE. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A RENTAL AGREEMENT, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE THE COMPANION ANIMAL OF YOUR CHOICE HOME WITH YOU.
OUT OF STATE ADOPTERS ARE ASKED TO PAY THE ADOPTION FEE IN CASH.
