Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
She's compact. She's determined. She's full of wiggles, love, and mischief. And she’s been waiting since October 25, 2023 for someone to finally give her the life she’s always deserved.
Wednesday was found lingering near a gas station, where she’d been hanging around for three days—alone and recently having had puppies. Her body told a story of being used, possibly as a breeding dog. But her eyes—two different colors, both full of hope—told a story of survival, strength, and an incredible heart still open to love.
Since arriving at the shelter, she’s become our resident bowling ball—compact, low to the ground, and always ready to roll into your heart. She loves walks (and yes, squirrels should beware), and would thrive with training, enrichment, and structure. She’s so smart, so ready, and so deserving.
💖 Wednesday is:
Full of personality and charm
Active, playful, and goofy
A people-lover who craves affection and belly rubs
Very smart and ready to learn with the right guidance
🛑 Wednesday needs:
A home without other animals
A fenced-in yard to safely zoom around in
A family with older kids or adults only (she’s sweet but she is a bowling ball, after all)
A person or family who will finally see past her past and give her the future she’s never had
Wednesday has had very little training, so she’ll need someone who’s patient and committed to helping her thrive. She pulls hard on leash but is so eager to learn—she just needs someone to show her how. She's spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to fill your home with joy, laughter, and a whole lot of love.
❤️ Please look past the "pittie" label and into her heart. Because if you do, you’ll find a loyal, loving girl who’s just been waiting for someone to believe in her.

More about this rescue
The mission of Castoff Pet Rescue is to save and nurture homeless dogs; to match companion animals with loving, life-long homes; to foster responsible pet care; to control overpopulation in our community through spay/neuter programs; and to assist other shelters and rescue groups in any endeavor to benefit the animals. We believe that the same kindness, compassion, and generosity we extend to our two-legged neighbors should be given to our four-legged friends because they are not able to speak for themselves.
