Meet Izzy
Izzy and her 7 beautiful puppies found themselves in animal control on the euthanasia list like so many other wonderful dogs! Since we couldn't stand to see them die, Castoff Pet Rescue was able to rescue them from death row and find wonderful homes for all her puppies but now it's her turn!

Izzy a young hound mix, with a beautiful coat. She is active and would do good with a job, lots of play and walks. She is housebroken and crate trained, and would be so happy to be in a home!

While she is shy around new people, once she gets to know you she will shake you down for treats. No cats or chickens, but Izzy does well with other dogs after proper introduction.

Like so many hounds, she loves a good scent, and is always on the hunt for one, so she will climb a fence so she needs a a tall privacy fence or walk on leash only. She would be a great trail dog.

Go meet their pets

Visit us (by appointment only) at our physical location in Blairsville, GA 30512. Please e-mail us your contact info. and which pet you are interested in. We will happily arrange a meeting with that pet.

We also hold adoptions most Saturdays from 10-4 at the Alpharetta Petsmart. It is located across from the North Point Mall. Also Petco in Milton/Alpharetta. Please e-mail us for specific dates and locations. Not all pets at our shelter are at the adoption event. If you would like to see a certain pet at an event, e-mail us and let us know which one you are interested in.

The mission of Castoff Pet Rescue is to save and nurture homeless dogs; to match companion animals with loving, life-long homes; to foster responsible pet care; to control overpopulation in our community through spay/neuter programs; and to assist other shelters and rescue groups in any endeavor to benefit the animals. We believe that the same kindness, compassion, and generosity we extend to our two-legged neighbors should be given to our four-legged friends because they are not able to speak for themselves.
