My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet girl is a survivor! She came from the Spokane Reservation with 5 other dogs. She is not aggressive at all. Crafty is an escape artist, tho! She is a wild child who hates to be contained. At her first foster home, she escaped and vanished for 24 hours. She was finally captured 5 miles away. Here at the rescue, she stays close to the house. Crafty would do well in a home with patience. She likes being the only dog. She may get to the place where she follows her owner around, but for now, leashed at all times is strongly recommended! She appears nonchalant around cats and goats. Crafty is really a special girl! If you think you have what she needs, contact me about Crafty!

Additional adoption info

Persons adopting from me through internet contact are required to show me photos of the area where the dog will spend most of its time, a vet's number and the number of a person who has known the potential adopter for at least 5 years. I do not require a fee, donations are appreciated. If a dog does not work out for the adopter, I can usually take it back right away, but if I have no room, I will work to find a new placement.

More about this rescue

I am a retired public school teacher, mother of 3, grandma of 7, and I do this because I love to join people and pets. I have always been one to bring home strays, so this is just a part of who I am. I own a small hobby farm with dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, sheep and goats..
