My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sassy has been a challenge! Do you want a sweet project? Sassy and four other pups were caught on the Spokane Indian Reservation. She was probably 10 weeks old at that time. She was not handled by humans prior to that. She went to a farm foster, where she learned to follow, crate, allow one person to touch her and one child to interact with her. She did not allow three other people living there to touch her. She was not improving at the farm, so She is now in my care and is not really happy. She could use a beta/friendly dog companion and a fenced area. Sassy has so much potential. She will be a loyal companion once she learns that humans are GOOD. Are you up for this? Please contact me!

Additional adoption info

Persons adopting from me through internet contact are required to show me photos of the area where the dog will spend most of its time, a vet's number and the number of a person who has known the potential adopter for at least 5 years. I do not require a fee, donations are appreciated. If a dog does not work out for the adopter, I can usually take it back right away, but if I have no room, I will work to find a new placement.

More about this rescue

I am a retired public school teacher, mother of 3, grandma of 7, and I do this because I love to join people and pets. I have always been one to bring home strays, so this is just a part of who I am. I own a small hobby farm with dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, sheep and goats..
