Introducing Thanos, now called Louie!
Curious Easy-Going Friendly Snuggly
Hey there, I'm Louie, and I'm here to tell you all about myself!
First off, let's talk about my forever home. It's gotta have a physical fence – I like to explore and investigate, so having a safe space to roam is important to me. Speaking of exploring, I've racked up quite a few frequent flier miles in my time with my original owner. But now, I'm ready to settle down and find my forever family.
I'm a good boy, but I can't help being curious. Smells and noises just beg to be investigated! Luckily, I'm housebroken and crate-trained, so I know how to behave when my humans are away. I prefer lounging on my dog bed, but I'll tolerate being crated if I have to.
Outgoing and friendly – that's me! I've made friends with all sorts of folks, from shelter staff to animal control officers. And don't even get me started on how well I did at the vet – they couldn't get enough of me!
Now, when it comes to other furry friends, I've got limited experience with cats. I did try to chase one once, but I'm learning to be more chill. Slow and structured introductions will be key. I get super excited when meeting new dogs and my curiosity may be a bit overwhelming to smaller dogs. Introductions should be slow and outdoors.
As for commands, I'm getting there. I understand a bunch of them, but let's just say I have a mind of my own sometimes. Food definitely helps motivate me to listen, though!
Snuggles, daily strolls, chew toys, and my dog bed – those are a few of my favorite things. Baths, vet visits, and car rides? No problem! But I'd rather not wear an e-collar or be crated if I can help it.
I've been through some tough times – lost weight, calluses, scars, you name it. But I'm a trooper, and I'm working hard to get healthy again. Neutering can wait until I'm feeling better, too.
Kids? I may have had some in my previous home, but I haven't had any experience with them with my foster family. So, slow and structured introductions will be necessary.
When it comes down to it, I just want to be with my favorite humans as much as possible. If you’re wearing a jacket, I’ll try to shimmy my way into it to get those snuggles and pets!
Oh, and did I mention I get cold easily? A dog hoodie or sweater is right up my alley. So if you're looking for a furry friend who's curious, friendly, and enjoys a good snuggle, look no further – I'm your guy!
If you're seeking a loyal and affectionate companion who's always up for an adventure, Louie may be the perfect fit for your home.
