My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Miss Sissy’s Compatibility:
Dogs: Wants to be your one and only
Cats: Not her thing
Kids: Looking for a low-key home with grown-ups

In a quiet home, Miss Sissy truly shines. She’s housebroken, polite, and a total sweetheart who loves sunny naps, squeaky toys, and curling up right beside her person at the end of the day. She’s been in foster care, where she earned rave reviews and proved to be a wonderful roomie for other pets. In the right home, she’s playful, affectionate, and endlessly loyal.

The shelter can be overwhelming for her, so if she seems unsure or a little shy at first, don’t write her off. Take her somewhere calm and let her show you her true personality: a gentle, loving girl who has so much to give. She’s looking for a home where she can be the only pet and focus on bonding with her people.

Miss Sissy is ready to show her forever family just how loving and loyal she can be. Come meet her and see why she’s so special!

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
