My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nala`s Compatibility:
Dogs - Meet & Greet
Cats - Not a good fit
Kids - Yes

Looking for a senior girl who knows how to enjoy life at her own pace? Meet Nala! At 11 years young, this gentle lady has already mastered the art of relaxation, companionship, and stealing hearts. She`s fully potty trained, crate trained for meals and sleeping, and loves curling up with her humans for quiet, cozy moments.

Nala was surrendered when her previous family had to move, and they fondly remember her as a tender, intuitive companion who always seemed to know when someone was feeling sad, quietly coming to cuddle and offer comfort. Now in her foster home, she’s happily living with another dog, Goofy, and enjoys exploring her fenced backyard, soaking up the sunshine, and keeping a careful eye on the occasional squirrel or rabbit. Age hasn’t slowed her curiosity or her bursts of strength, so she still loves a little adventure from time to time.

Despite her age, Nala has a heart full of love and is ready to spend her golden years being a cherished part of a family. She`s the perfect combination of sweet and serene, and she`s ready to share her love and plenty of snuggles with her forever humans.

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
