My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nora`s Compatibility:
Dogs - Selective; may do well with the right dog after a slow introduction
Cats - Passed her cat test!
Kids - Best with kids 12 and up

Nora is affectionate, goofy, and full of love for her people. She’s the kind of dog who wants to be close, whether she’s curled up next to you on the couch watching TV or snoozing nearby while you go about your day. She’s housebroken, has done well when left loose in the home, and isn’t one to dart out doors or cause trouble.

Nora thrives with structure, routine, and someone who can help her channel her excitement in healthy ways. Out on the trail, she settles into walks beautifully and even checks in for affection along the way. She’s incredibly motivated by love and is learning how to slow her busy brain and enjoy the moment.

Nora has been friendly with people, but she’s still learning how to navigate her big feelings. She’d do best in a calm home with kids 12 and up who can give her space when she needs it. She can be selective with other dogs and may do well with the right match after a slow introduction.

If you`re looking for a snuggly sidekick, Nora just might be your girl. Meet her today!

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
