Here's what the humans have to say about me:
You're giving me the chance to tell you a little about myself? Well, thank you! I came into rescue as yet another black male mix. There are so many of us in shelters that we get overlooked so I was very relieved to head to RROC. Life was going so well until I was matched to an applicant who was interested in meeting me. The dog in the family obviously had a different plan and went after me at the meet. Since then, I've been very worried about meeting unknown dogs. I've found that making a total loudmouth of myself prevents these unknown dogs from getting close and attacking me. Careful, slow introductions with new dogs helps but I'm perfectly happy as a solo dog. My foster home takes me for walks where and when I won't encounter other dogs. I'm also just fine having a yard of my own to get exercise and not going on walks at all. I think you'll agree I'm well worth any efforts to prevent further trauma to me. Everyone who knows me describes me as sweet and loving and well-behaved. I love learning new commands and behaviors. Please help me find my new home by telling everyone you know who is looking for a dog all about me! On behalf of all black mix male dogs everywhere, I'd appreciate it!
We require an application, phone interview and home visit prior to adoption. We will not discuss a specific dog with an applicant until the adoption process is completed. Our adoption fee for dogs under 9 months is $400, dogs between 9 months and 8 years is $350. Please visit our website for more information. Thank you!
