Mary Oliver observed that "Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift!" The family who adopts Cyrus will have so many moments of joy!
Our delightful Cyrus is one year old and weighs 42 pounds. His shiny black coat has snow white markings and his warm brown eyes reflect his zest for life. His unique ears give Cyrus such a distinctive look. Cyrus is as sweet as he is handsome, and that is saying a lot!
Cyrus is a well mannered companion on daily walks and enjoys being close by your side.
Outings in the fenced yard are one of his favorite ways to spend the day, and he loves to run and play. Now that warmer weather has arrived, Cyrus has such fun in the doggy pool.
Cyrus has had a great time in play groups with his fellow shelter companions. If you have another dog, we do require a meet and greet to ensure compatibility.
Cyrus also gets along with cats.
Cyrus adores being around people and loves to hang out with you to enjoy the day. He is so sweet and affectionate and a wonderful cuddle buddy!
Lucky Cyrus spent a weekend with one of our dedicated volunteers and Avery reports:
"Cyrus knows sit, shake, lay down spin, and roll over. He knows his name and will respond to it very well and he also responds to CyCy.
He is a big cuddle bug when it comes to sleeping and has the cutest little snores.
Cyrus likes to ride in the back of the car so he can lay down and take a nap.
He is a little shy around new people but opens up very quickly and loves to be scratched on his rib area.
Cyrus really likes to sun bathe in the front yard and also enjoys stuffed toys.
His very favorite activity was when we went down to the trail next to our house and he jumped into the creek. He really loves water! Cyrus also loves baths.
I think he would do well in a home with any size dog because he did not have any prey drive.
Cyrus is the best boy and very calm and can go with the flow."
Take Cyrus home and the fun and devotion are guaranteed. He will be a wonderful companion!
