My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Everyone, meet Audrey!

Audrey’s success story is one of resilience. Upon rescue, she was missing 75% of her fur; she was nervous, scared, and unsure of people. Her coat is now all grown in and she has blossomed into a sweet, loving, and affectionate girl who greets everyone with kindness and open paws. Audrey is estimated to be around 6 years old and weighs around 70 lbs. She will do great in a nurturing and loving home who is looking for some easy companionship. She doesn't require much, she would be content going on daily walks and just being with her people as a true member of the family. When Audrey was found, it was clear she had been neglected and had given birth to a couple of litters at some point in her past. Those days are behind her and we can't wait for her to be in a home where she will be loved and spoiled in the best way. She walks well on leash, is spayed, up to date with vaccinations and microchipped. If you are looking for a loving and affectionate adult dog who will be loyal and bring joy to your days, please consider Audrey. Please email us today for an application at adoptions@smilingdogfarms.org

Audrey is patiently waiting to hear from you.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We are dedicated to ensuring that our dogs go to a "forever" loving, nurturing home. As a result, our process is stringent, requiring an application, home visit, vet and reference checks and an adoption contract. We want the adoption to be a match made in heaven for both the new adoptive parents and the adopted dog.

Go meet their pets

We provide adoption opportunities for those living in the Northeast who are willing to do long distance adoptions. Many of our dogs live in Wharton, Texas but we have very safe, reliable transport to the Northeast.

More about this rescue

Smiling Dog Farms is a 501(c) non-profit animal rescue. We strive to restore hope to the forgotten, neglected and rejected unwanted dogs and puppies rescued from the streets and local kill-shelters. Each dog that enters our rescue receives their full round of vaccinations, gets spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and placed on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. Many of our dogs live in Wharton Texas, but we have very safe, reliable transport to the Northeast.
