Did someone say `Go For a Ride`!! I love long car rides and went on quite a few last month. I`m Blaze, I`m 9 years old, under 100 pounds, and I act much younger than my age. I`m a fun, healthy and entertaining hound mix and I`m first class all the way. My occasional howl brings a smile to everyone`s face.

Staff say that I am one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet. I enjoy short leash walks and I am potty trained. I am learning to come when called and get it right on the second try. I am also sensitive and can get my feelings hurt because I think I am a lap dog to be cuddled and hugged. I thrive on routines. I am not a digger and recently spent time at a foster home with three other dogs. We all got along well, and I enjoy living with older kids.
I am looking for a loving home where I can relax and enjoy my senior years. I don’t have any behavioral issues, and I keep getting passed up for adoption because I’m not a young pup anymore. I respond to sit, shake and yummy treats!
I am ready for you to take me home. I got my teeth cleaned, had my ears treated, was neutered, and I am up to date on my vaccines. I have a microchip as well, so I am all set to go home with you today.

Our Mission
The Humane Society of Sedona is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of pets in our community and beyond. The Society has served the Verde Valley since 1966.
The Linda and Allan Brecher Center for Animals at the society is designed to allow every person, who desires the love of a pet, to adopt and provide a forever loving home. The Center provides quality care and positive reinforcement behavior training for adoptable pets. Passionate volunteers help walk and socialize the pets in our care. Foster pet parents are an important part of caring for pets outside the Center.
The Society provides vital services for pets and people alike through income-based affordable spay/neuter surgeries and vaccination clinics. Also, for families in need to feed their pets, we have a Pet Food Program.
Another public resource is our adult and youth educational programs.
The Society relies on community support, contributions, grants, bequests, investments, proceeds from the Society’s thrift stores and some fees for service in order to save pets’ lives.
