Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Jackson – The Quirky Gentleman with a Big Personality
At around 7 years old, Jackson is the perfect blend of charm, independence, and heart. This small terrier cross may have a few gray whiskers, but he’s still full of spunk — the kind of dog who keeps life interesting in the best way possible.
Jackson has what we lovingly call a “cat-like personality.” One moment, he’s your biggest fan, ready for cuddles and belly rubs; the next, he’ll politely excuse himself for some alone time, as if to say, “I love you, but I need my space.” It’s all part of his quirky charm — and those who understand him quickly fall in love with his funny, expressive ways.
Despite his independent streak, Jackson is affectionate, loyal, and easy to have around. He enjoys short walks, relaxing in a sunny spot, and being near his person — even if he’s pretending not to pay attention.
What Makes Jackson Special:
Senior sweetheart with personality and wit
Small and manageable size — easy travel companion or apartment buddy
Leash and house trained
Prefers to be the only dog (he enjoys peace and quiet)
Best in a calm, adult home where he can set the pace and routine
Jackson is neutered, healthy, and current on vaccinations. He doesn’t need much — just a soft bed, a gentle hand, and someone who appreciates his mix of independence and affection.
After all, Jackson isn’t looking for constant attention — he’s looking for understanding, for someone who loves him for who he is: a loyal, sometimes silly, always endearing little companion with a big heart.

We require a foster or adoption application to qualify to foster or adopt our animals. We do check your current veterinary reference and landlord approval if renting. The next step is a "meet and greet" with all family members and/or household occupants, and current pets. Upon approval, we offer a "trial adoption" period that allows adopter to make sure of a good fit for both the dog and family. Adoption is final when adoption contract (different from application) is filled out and signed, and adoption fee is paid. Our adoption fees range from $75 - $300 (puppies) currently, but are subject to revision if our veterinary costs rise. Due to recent website issues please submit application at www.friendsfureveranimalrescue.net if the .com link provided does not work
