Fawn came to us from Inland Valley Humane Society S.P.C.A. She is estimated to be 10 years old and weighs 7.5 lbs.
Fawn happily melts into your arms. She also loves going on our weekly hikes, has great leash manners, and easily goes two miles!
Fawn went on a two-week Frosted Fling, and we learned a lot about her in a home setting. Her Fling Mom reports:
"Fawn is the sweetest thing. She is overcoming her shyness, is comfortable chilling with our family, and is even starting to get interested in running with our other dogs to chase lizards!. As you can see in the video, she dances, too!
One of our dogs guards people and food. Fawn is a bit of a food guarder, too, so we put her in a pen while she eats. She does fine, even with other dogs in the room, as long as she feels like her space is protected.
Fawn gets on the couch with us a lot and shares the couch with the other dogs. If our dog (the one who guards) growls, Fawn walks away and does not come back and try again for at least that day, maybe even two days. Fawn definitely wants to be part of the pack, but she gets scared away easily. Outside, she wants to be near our other dogs.
Fawn is very gentle. She loves to on your lap and snuggled but is shy about coming up. Picking her up was easiest for us when she was in a pen while eating. Fawn so wants to attach and be close to a person, and she follows me to whatever room I am in. She loves to greet you when you've been out of the house."
