9-year-old Schatze arrived at Orange County Animal Care as a stray they named Mimolette. When no one came to claim her, we welcomed her into the Frosted Faces family in January 2025.
She was adopted just two days later and given the name Schatze, but has since returned to our care when her adopter could no longer look after her. We’re eager to help her find the loving, lasting home she deserves.
Schatze is currently on a two-week Frosted Fling getting extra TLC. Her Fling Mom reports:
"Schatze is sweet, gentle, and a little timid. She gets along with dogs of all sizes and is indifferent to cats. She’s a quiet girl and such an easy pup to have around that I barely notice she’s here! She’s an excellent houseguest and the sweetest little lady.
Schatze loves her crate but also enjoys lounging on dog beds around the house. Everyone who’s met her absolutely adores her.
Schatze is a low-activity senior. We get out several times a day, and I let her sniff around. I do carry her if we go on a walk. She enjoys treat time, doesn’t seem to know commands, and likes chewing on rawhide-free sticks. Her favorite activity is cuddling in my arms while I relax on the couch.
Schatze eats very well—both kibble and wet food—and practically licks the bowl clean. She prefers to eat in her crate or a separate room from my dogs."
Schatze is gentle sweetheart who deserves a loving forever home where she will be cherished for her remaining years. Could that home be with you?
