My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Violet has a natural talent for making ordinary moments feel a little more joyful. She loves teaming up with our male dogs and moves with a floppy trot that could brighten anyone’s day. Snuffle mats and puzzles light her up, and she launches into her commands the moment treats hit the scene. She melts into belly rubs, hops into the car like a pro, and turns every downtown stroll into an adventure. Give her a comfy couch or a sunny yard with a toy bone and she settles right in. Come meet the girl who makes joy look effortless.

More about this shelter

CCA was founded in 1980 by a small group of individuals dedicated to helping animals. Since then, our group has grown to include a small shelter. Our group's mission is varied: to maintain a shelter for abandoned, sick or injured animals; to adopt out dogs and cats to loving permanent homes; to provide for their animals low-cost spay/neuter assistance to families who lack the means to pay; and to strive to prevent and to stop abuse and/or neglect of an animal.

We are always in need of volunteers! If you are interested in becoming a part of our group, please let us know by calling 864.243.4222. We'd be glad to have you on board!
