My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Imagine a dog who makes every day feel a little more fun—that’s Indy. With ears that bounce like tiny trampolines and a personality that lights up the room, she’s the perfect blend of goofball energy and easygoing charm. Indy is the kind of dog who greets guests like old friends, keeps you laughing with her goofy antics, and then curls up next to you like she’s been there forever. She lost her home in a fire and bravely completed heartworm treatment, but she’s all joy, all the time.

Whether she’s trotting beside you, proudly carrying her toy bone, or taking up way too much space on the couch, Indy is ready to bring her entertaining, lovable spirit into your home.

More about this shelter

CCA was founded in 1980 by a small group of individuals dedicated to helping animals. Since then, our group has grown to include a small shelter. Our group's mission is varied: to maintain a shelter for abandoned, sick or injured animals; to adopt out dogs and cats to loving permanent homes; to provide for their animals low-cost spay/neuter assistance to families who lack the means to pay; and to strive to prevent and to stop abuse and/or neglect of an animal.

We are always in need of volunteers! If you are interested in becoming a part of our group, please let us know by calling 864.243.4222. We'd be glad to have you on board!
