My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Humphrey: A Lovable Gremlin with a Vacuum Setting

Humphrey’s journey hasn’t been the easiest, but you’d never know it by looking at him now. This resilient little guy has bounced back beautifully and is ready to find his forever home—complete with couches to nap on and humans to adore.

Humphrey is sweet, goofy, and full of personality. He’s housebroken, crate-trained, rides like a champ in the car, and has done well with other dogs and respectful, dog-savvy cats. His playful charm and affectionate nature make him the kind of dog who quickly steals hearts (and personal space).

Now, let’s talk about Humphrey’s quirk—because every gremlin has one. Humphrey operates on “real-life vacuum mode.” If it’s on the floor and not nailed down, there’s a solid chance he’ll try to eat it. Socks, toys, mystery items? In his mind, all are snacks. Unfortunately, this habit has landed him in the vet’s office twice for surgical removal of intestinal blockages.

Because of this, Humphrey needs an adult-only home with an adopter who is extremely attentive and committed to careful management. Think tidy floors, thoughtful supervision, and a home where “leave it” isn’t just a suggestion—it’s a lifestyle. With the right structure, Humphrey can absolutely thrive.

Any potential canine siblings must come in for a meet and greet, and any cats in the home should be dog savvy.

If you’re an experienced, detail-oriented dog person with a sense of humor and a willingness to outsmart a four-legged vacuum, Humphrey just might be your perfect match. Apply today to meet this affectionate gremlin and see if you’re ready to take on the challenge—and the cuddles.
