Meet Apollo, a gentle and sweet-natured dog who's looking for his new start! He can be a bit shy with new people, but once he gets to know you, you'll be besties for life. He loves to seek out attention and petting from anyone he knows, and enjoys some friendly chit-chat, or "husky talk." Apollo is a playful, bouncy boy who will show off his zoomies and engage with toys. He is looking for a home where he can be the only dog and where any children are able to understand his body language and give him his space.
Apollo is also a bit of a local star, having been featured as NBC 7's Pet of the Week! He's also been featured by KPBS because he is so special!

Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.
