Ellen is a domestic shorthair who came into our care in February of 2025 as a transfer from Fresno TNR. Ellen came to us with a handful of housemates rescued from an unfortunate hoarding case. Neighbors around her past home threatened to hurt Ellen and the others in order to "get rid of them". Thankfully, Fresno TNR was able to rescue them, provide their spay/neuter surgeries, and transfer them over to Valley Animal Center in hopes of securing them a loving furever home. Upon intake, Ellen and her friends had Upper Respiratory Infections and were very scared of humans. With some TLC and patience, Ellen and her friends became very loving, and their sweet personalities came to light. Ellen is still skittish at first, so we recommend approaching her slowly. We can guarantee that at first touch, she absolutely melts into your palm.
To view other cats or kittens available for adoption at Valley Animal Center, please visit https://valleyanimal.org/cats/. You may also find Valley Animal Center’s adoption application there. Once you submit an adoption application, a cat care associate will review it and follow up with you as soon as possible.
Her adoption fee is only $100 and includes spay/neuter, up to date on vaccines, de-worm, flea treatment, and microchip ID.
Thank mew!

More about this shelter
Valley Animal Center houses thousands of dogs and cats annually until they are placed in loving homes. Majority of our shelter animals are rescued from local animal control agencies who have no more space for their animals. Even animals who have been abused, mistreated, abandoned, and injured are cared for and nurtured until a loving home is ready to adopt them.
We are easily accessible to the residents of the entire six-county region it serves. Even individuals from out of the area and out of state have come to Valley Animal Center to adopt animals from us and utilize our clinic services.
Our mission is to unite dogs and cat with loving people but it does not simply end at the adoption process. With our low-cost clinic, a membership-based dog park, and humane education resources found on our website, we want to ensure our community has easy access to resources that will help them along in their pet ownership journey.
