This is Parker James.

He’s watched more than a hundred dogs come and go.
He’s seen kennels empty and fill again — over and over.
And somehow, he’s still here.

Parker James is our longest resident, waiting an unbelievable 14 months — since October 2024 — for someone to see him and say, “You’re coming home with me.”

Through it all, his spirit hasn’t dimmed. He still greets the world with hope and a wagging tail. He still believes people are worth loving.

Parker James is an explorer at heart. He loves walks, new smells, and sunshine on his fur. But what he loves most is connection. He leans his whole weight into his people, soaking up affection like he’s afraid to let go.

He’s smart, curious, and confident, with a soft, loyal soul just waiting for someone to notice him. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations, and more than ready for a fresh start.

He doesn’t need perfect — just a place to belong.
