Frito is an affectionate 10-year-old Chiweenie weighing in at 17 pounds. He has been fully vetted and is heartworm negative, making him a healthy and ready companion for a loving home. Frito has spent his life being cherished by his family, and it shows in his manners and demeanor.
Frito's Story
Frito's life took an unexpected turn with the sudden passing of his beloved dad. His mom, facing her own challenges with mobility and housing, could no longer care for him. With a heavy heart, she tearfully entrusted him to our rescue, hoping we could find him a warm and loving home.
Initially shy due to his changing circumstances, Frito quickly showed his true colors once he recognized our friendly intentions. He eagerly ran towards us, seeking affection and comfort, revealing his loving and happy nature.
Frito's Perfect Home
Frito is a well-mannered pup who is housetrained, leash trained, crate trained, and enjoys car rides. He thrives in quiet environments where he can bask in the affection and comfort he so richly deserves. Due to his gentle and shy nature, we recommend a home without young children, where he can enjoy peace and tranquility.

Our mission at Barking Mad Animal Rescue is to continue saving senior dogs like Frito. The cost to send Frito to his forever home is $650, but we have reduced his adoption fee to $350 in recognition of his senior status.
