My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I`m in a FOSTER HOME! For more information or to virtually meet me, email my foster parent at carolchapman@yahoo.com

Handsome 50-lb redhead seeks new family:

This gorgeous, coppertone boy has found himself unexpectedly single, and in search of a new family to love him. Zuzu is a lap-landing love bug. He wants pets and cuddles and belly rubs from everybody he meets. He favorite activities include long walks, playing ball, chewing on toys, cuddling, rough-housing with other dogs, and napping on the couch. Zuzu is full of big-puppy energy! He knows basic commands, does well in a crate, and is great in the car. He`s a real people pleaser - he listens well and is always chasing the next “Good Boy”.

More about this shelter

At the Humane Rescue Alliance, we honor more than 150 years of commitment to protecting animals, supporting families, and advocating for positive change to create a world where all animals can thrive. HRA serves as a national leader and local champion for all animals.

With a people-focused, community-based approach, we treat every animal as an individual and emphasize specialized care for both animals and their families. Through our two campuses in the District of Columbia and New Jersey, we are the largest animal services provider in our region – touching the lives of tens of thousands of animals annually through direct rescue, care, and community-based services. Our teams find solutions to both small and big problems, from providing direct care to an animal in crisis to tackling systemic barriers to affordable, pet-friendly housing.
