Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I`m in a foster home! To meet me, email my foster caregiver at vonfoer2@gmail.com.
Washington Commanders’ Defensive End Jake Martin is helping out the big dogs this month with his 55 Rescue Drive! Jake is reducing my adoption fee to only $55!
Vino is better than any fine wine! No hangovers with this delightful gentleman. Only love, happy tail wags and sweetness from this very good boy. He had a home, but his beloved elderly owner was just unable to care for him anymore. It was a sad situation, but the future looks bright for this very good boy.
Here`s a few things his foster family has learned about Vino: He is the loudest (and cutest) snorer I`ve ever heard! He absolutely loves to take naps and spends most of the day napping. He loves his kennel - he goes in without a problem and spends the whole night there. He loves nibbling on soft toys but doesn`t destroy them (check out his video). He loves our resident dog and likes to run around with her. He is very content sharing food with her, sleeping next to her, and walking with her. I`ve never seen a dog get so excited for a walk. He LOVES walks. He is still working on his leash skills, but he is doing super well on training (especially with treats)! He is learning heel. He is very interested in other people and dogs on walks but not in an aggressive way - he just wants to say hi :) I would describe him as a gentle giant. He takes his treats so gently - he basically just opens his mouth, and you toss it in (lol).

More about this shelter
At the Humane Rescue Alliance, we honor more than 150 years of commitment to protecting animals, supporting families, and advocating for positive change to create a world where all animals can thrive. HRA serves as a national leader and local champion for all animals.
With a people-focused, community-based approach, we treat every animal as an individual and emphasize specialized care for both animals and their families. Through our two campuses in the District of Columbia and New Jersey, we are the largest animal services provider in our region – touching the lives of tens of thousands of animals annually through direct rescue, care, and community-based services. Our teams find solutions to both small and big problems, from providing direct care to an animal in crisis to tackling systemic barriers to affordable, pet-friendly housing.
