My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Caviar is a goofy, lovable puppy with a zest for life and a tongue that just won’t stay in his mouth. Seriously, he's always making the silliest faces! Full of playful energy, he’s looking for a family that can match his adventurous spirit.

Whether it’s exploring forest preserves, going on scenic hikes, or playing with enrichment toys in the backyard, Caviar thrives on activity and needs a home that can give him plenty of mental and physical stimulation. He’d love nothing more than to be your trail buddy by day and your snuggle partner by night.

Don’t let his energy fool you; underneath all that bounce is a sweet, affectionate pup who just wants to cuddle up with his people. Caviar is as sweet as he looks and ready to find a forever home where he can run, play, and love to his heart’s content.

Are you ready to add a little adventure (and a lot of silly faces) to your life? Caviar is waiting!

More about this shelter

We serve the pets and people in Northern Illinois and Southeastern Wisconsin. Our mission is clear: To take responsibility for each and every orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected dog and cat which reaches our doors; to take them in and shelter them; to provide the best medical and physical care possible for them; to nurture them back to health if need be; and finally to place them into warm, loving, adoptive homes where they can enjoy the lives they deserve.
