My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Kermit!

This ridiculously adorable Chihuahua recently joined the AFRP family after our friends at Hitchcock Road Animal Services reached out for help. Kermit wasn’t doing well in the shelter environment. Now that he’s in a loving foster home, his goofy, joyful personality is shining bright!

Kermit is pure charm in a tiny package. Say his name and watch the magic happen, he’ll launch into his signature happy spin, like a wind-up toy powered by love and snacks! He lives for cuddles, toys, tasty treats, and being the center of someone’s world. He’s ready to retire from shelter life and start his new chapter as a beloved lapdog, snuggle buddy, and professional goofball.

Because of his size and strong love of toys, Kermit would do best in a calm home with adults or respectful, dog-savvy kids over 13. While we don’t yet know how he feels about cats, he’s shown a lot of interest in playing with other friendly pups so a playful dog buddy could be a great match!

Kermit is currently in a foster home. A meet and greet can be scheduled once an online application has been submitted and approved. Visit our website today at www.animalfriendsrescue.org!

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees help to cover the cost of the care the animal has received during their time with us, including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchipping, deworming, and flea treatment and basic foster care.

All potential adopters complete an application and are screened using a standardized series of questions by a trained adoption counselor. If the application and screening are satisfactory, a qualified adopter can complete a contract, pay the adoption fee and take the animal home.
