My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Double the scruff, double the smiles, double the fun! Meet Enzo and Dino, the inseparable father-son duo with the best underbites and even better personalities. These two were surrendered to a local shelter, where the sudden loss of their home left them confused and scared. In that environment, their anxiety came out as fear-based reactivity, and they were labeled aggressive. But we knew better, and knew we had to scoop them up to give them a chance at a happily ever after. Once they had some space, safety, and love, Enzo and Dino started to relax, and we quickly saw who they really are: goofy, sweet, and totally devoted to each other!

Enzo (the son, and definitely the boss) leads the way, with Dino following close behind. They do everything together, exploring, playing, napping, even sharing the same curious little head tilts. They’re happiest when side by side, whether running around or snuggled up for a good nap.

Both boys love other dogs and are always up for an adventure, but they do take a minute to warm up to new people. Once they know you’re safe, though, their walls come down and you’re rewarded with their silly and loving selves. They’re a little rough around the edges at first, but underneath, they’re total sweethearts just waiting for someone to give them the chance they deserve. An ideal home would be one with an active owner and a big yard for them to run around in!

Enzo and Dino are looking for a patient, kind adopter who understands that some dogs just need a little extra time to feel safe. In return, you’ll get a built-in comedy team, snuggle partners, and the most loyal little pair you could ever imagine. Ready to welcome twice the love? Enzo and Dino are ready to meet you. Please inquire today!

More about this rescue

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
