My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Grant! Grant’s been through a lot. We first met him a couple of years ago when his original owners split up and neither could keep him. He was adopted after just two months with us and spent the last two years with his new family. But life threw him another curveball, and they recently returned him when they could no longer care for him. Now Grant is back, looking for what we all hope will be his *forever* forever home. Third time’s the charm, right?

Grant is a people-lover through and through. If you’re looking for a shadow, a sidekick, a loyal ride-or-die...this is your guy. He’s all about human connection and would happily follow you from the kitchen to the couch to the ends of the earth. He lives for attention, affection, and being part of the action.

With dogs, he’s a little more selective. He can be wary at first, but with slow, thoughtful introductions, he’s been successful. He’d be perfectly content as your one and only, but we’re open to a foster-to-adopt trial if you’ve already got a pup at home.

What really makes Grant stand out is his energy - playful, joyful, and full of spark. He’s got the vibe of a dog half his age and will turn any backyard or living room into his personal playground. Fetch? Yes. Tug-of-war? Absolutely. Goofy zoomies followed by a nap in your lap? That’s the dream. He’ll thrive in an active home with someone who’s ready to match his zest for life.

Grant’s story has had some ups and downs, but he hasn’t lost his spirit, not even close. Now all he needs is someone to give him the stability, love, and fun-filled life he deserves. Think that could be you? Reach out today!

More about this rescue

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
