Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Lily
Lily is a 1.5-year-old Beagle mix who has already overcome so much in her young life. Found as a stray in Texas, she gave birth to six puppies while in the shelter and remained a devoted, loving mom through it all. Now spayed and done with motherhood, Lily is ready for her own forever family. She made the journey from Texas to Illinois with her puppies and is now thriving in foster care.
This petite girl weighs just 30 pounds—smaller than she appears in photos—and has proven to be the perfect mix of playful and cuddly. Lily enjoys romping around the yard with the resident dogs in her foster home and is equally happy snuggling up with her humans. She especially loves the children in the home and is incredibly gentle and affectionate with them.
Lily is both housebroken and crate trained. She’s social with other dogs, wonderful with children, and friendly with all people. Her calm and resilient spirit, combined with her affectionate nature, make her a truly special companion.
Lily is looking for a family who will give her the love and security she’s always deserved. After giving so much to her puppies, she’s ready for a new beginning of her own.
Our standard adoption fee is $375 if paid by cash or check, or $385 if paid by credit card (which includes a $10 processing fee). This fee covers spay/neuter surgery when age appropriate at one of our participating veterinarians, age-appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative, and microchipping.
In order to be considered for adoption, we require a fully completed application, a phone interview, and a meet-and-greet with your entire family. Please note that submitting an application does not commit you to adopting and does not guarantee approval—it simply allows us to begin the review process.
If you are interested in adopting or would like additional information, please email us at adopt@safehavendogsIL.org to request an application.
Keep in mind that the breed and size listed in each dog's biography are our best educated guesses and are not guaranteed.
Safe Haven Dog Rescue reserves the right to refuse the adoption of any dog or puppy to any applicant for any reason.
