My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rodrick`s Compatibility:
Dogs - Yes
Cats - Passed his cat test
Kids - Yes, kids 10 or older would be a great fit!

Rodrick is a whole lot of joy packed into a bouncy, energetic frame. He came to us as a stray, but this guy knows how to make friends. He recently went to doggy daycare and had the time of his life! Rodrick made fast buddies with the other rowdy pups and especially loved splashing around in the pool.

He’s playful, social, and always ready for the next adventure. Rodrick would thrive in a home that enjoys walks, yard time, and plenty of play. Because he missed out on some early socialization, he can still be unsure in new situations or with sudden chaos. For that reason, we recommend a home with kids aged 10 and up who can help him feel safe while he builds confidence.

If you’re looking for a dog who will make you laugh, keep you active, and bring endless joy into your home, Rodrick might be your perfect match!

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
