My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, everyone, my name is Periwinkle and I was recently taken into the rescue when we were contacted by a local shelter who needed our help. I had been surrendered by my previous family for reasons unknown and there I sat waiting for someone to adopt me. This shelter although a good one does not really have the space to house small animals which is where the rescue came in to help.

I am a gorgeous grey lionhead rabbit and weigh about 5 lbs. I am approximately one year of age, so I am full grown. I was understandably shy when I first arrived as this is a lot of change for a small animal, but I have now settled in and enjoy gentle petting. I have been seen by the vet and spayed and came through with flying colors. I would probably be a great option for bonding since I am used to other animals and have a genuine curious nature.

I am currently eating a proper diet of Oxbow Adult Rabbit Pellets, lots of timothy hay and a big bowl of fresh water. I also enjoy my daily salad of romaine, parsley and dandelion greens. I also enjoy my daily treats in moderation of course such as banana, apple and carrots.

Would you consider opening your heart and home to a sweet girl like me?

More about this rescue

After fostering for over 20 years I decided it was time to open my own rescue. Bunnies are intelligent caring sensitive creatures who blossom in the right environment. They have much more spunk and personality than most people realize . You will be a convert once you have the chance to experience first hand how wonderful a compainon they can be.
