My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Jade was brought in by a community member on April 15, 2025.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Jade! This sweet and loving gal is the perfect blend of chill and playful. Jade is a calm companion who loves her naps almost as much as she loves people - and that's saying something! She soaks up attention and radiates sunshine, and always has a toy nearby for when those playful bursts of energy strike. She walks beautifully on leash and is a big fan of sniffing all the smells along the way - it's her version of reading the news. Jade has a history of dog reactivity, and will thrive best as your one and only canine companion. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate pup who is waiting to lounge on the couch with you, Jade's ready to be your new best friend!

At SDHS:
Jade has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. She is now ready for her new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
