Here's what the humans have to say about me:
LEIA is in New England and is available for meet and greets with approved applicants!
Meet LEIA, a lively, happy lab mix found in a small town in Oklahoma. Her finder played a crucial role in LEIA’s development and readiness for her forever family! Though her exact birth date is unknown, LEIA was rescued on March 25, 2025, and based on her energy, teeth, and playful spirit, her caregivers believe she’s around 2 years old—right in that sweet spot between puppy pep and grown-up charm.
LEIA is a natural athlete with boundless enthusiasm. If you’re someone who enjoys morning jogs, spontaneous games of fetch, or backyard zoomies, LEIA will be your #1 training partner and cheerleader. She's got the speed of a sprinter and the heart of a golden retriever—eager to please, endlessly loyal, and always ready to share her joy.
She thrives around children and seems to instinctively understand when it's time to be gentle. LEIA shines in the company of families who can match her zest for life and also offer moments of calm cuddles and quiet bonding. While she’s still brushing up on her leash manners, she responds beautifully to positive reinforcement and would love to continue learning new tricks in a fun, engaging environment.
LEIA is looking for a home that can keep up with her adventurous spirit while giving her the safety, structure, and affection she needs to thrive. Whether it's hiking trails, kids’ soccer games, or a squeaky toy marathon in the backyard, LEIA is ready to be at the heart of it all.

More about this rescue
A Lab for Life (ALL) provides a compassionate life-line to abandoned dogs that includes a safe haven, medical care by a licensed veterinarian, nutrition (food) and a fur-ever family through adoption. ALL promotes the humane treatment of animals in the community.
ALL was founded in July 2020 by a group of dog advocates in central Oklahoma and
Northeastern US after some had been volunteering with an out of state rescue for over 5 years. That experience solidified a local organization was needed. ALL formed to rescue as many stray, homeless and owner surrendered dogs as possible by partnering with many state-wide shelters and rescue operations. In addition to transferring homeless dogs from the shelters, fostering them in temporary homes and adopting them out, we also provide behavioral and medical resources to people who are considering surrendering their dog in an effort to keep the dog in their homes and out of the shelter/rescue system.
ALL operates under the 5 freedoms for animal welfare.
We are a brand new organization and welcome donations!
