My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Leon! Leon is a goofy pup, still growing, who will bring adoration and smiles to any
home that wants him! He’s potty and crate trained and loves playing with toys and bones. He’s dog-friendly and has grown up with a small fur sibling that has helped him learn what it takes to be a respectful gentleman around dogs of all sizes. (No cats for this guy, though.) He’s still working on his leash manners, but learns quickly and will benefit from a confident handler. Leon has also grown up around small humans and can live with dog-savvy children, especially considering he is a larger size dog.

Leon is looking for an adopter to continue his training and provide him with plenty of physical and mental stimulation. If you are looking for a lovable companion, Leon is perfect for you! Fill out an application today to meet him. (HH)

Leon weighs 85 pounds and may fill out a bit.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue dog! Whether you adopt from Rocket Dog or another rescue group, the fact is you will save a life. Adopting a rescued animal is a lifetime commitment! The first step in our adoption process is completing an adoption questionnaire here: https://www.rocketdogrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/

From there, you will be contacted by a volunteer to talk more about what you're looking for and if the dog you're interested in might be a good fit.

Go meet their pets

Our dogs live both in foster homes and at the Rocket Dog Sanctuary in Oakland. The best way to arrange a meeting for a specific dog is to fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website here: https://www.rocketdogrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/

We have adoption events every weekend throughout the Bay Area, which you can see here - https://www.rocketdogrescue.org/events/
