Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Sasha – A One-of-a-Kind Leading Lady
Don’t let the name fool you—Sasha is a strong, independent senior girl with a heart of gold and a little bit of tomboy charm. She knows who she is and what she likes, and she’s not afraid to march to the beat of her own drum.
Sasha is the kind of dog who appreciates her space and enjoys life on her own terms. She’d thrive best as the only pet in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention without having to share the spotlight. While she’s independent, Sasha has a sweet and affectionate side that shines through with her favorite people—especially during quiet, calm moments.
With her confident personality and gentle soul, Sasha is looking for a home that will appreciate her unique spirit and give her the cozy retirement she deserves. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a little sass and a lot of heart, Sasha might just be your perfect match.

The AWL is here to find the best match possible between adopters and the animals in our care. Keep in mind that a pet’s personality is way more important, and it’s best to try to find a pet that will fit into your lifestyle.

More about this shelter
The Animal Welfare League is a non-profit organization committed to advocating for animal protection and welfare. We are based in Port Charlotte, Florida. Since 1963 our shelter has served the Charlotte County community by providing a temporary home, medical service and caring attention for many dogs, cats and other animals. These animals come to us as strays, pets given up by their owners, unfortunate animals rescued from abuse and neglect, or simply lost pets in need of being re-united with their families.
