Meet Cole – A Survivor with the Sweetest Purr

Cole has been through more than most cats ever should, yet he’s held onto his gentle, loving personality. At 12 years old, he came to our rescue after his elderly owner was hospitalized long-term. Sadly, Cole and several other pets were left in a vacant home with only occasional check-ins. Food and water grew scarce, and Cole became dangerously thin. By the time we stepped in, he was so ill that he required several days of hospitalization.

With the care of a devoted foster home and plenty of small, nourishing meals, Cole has made an incredible comeback. He does have thyroid disease, but with twice-daily medication (which he takes easily!), the condition is fully managed. Otherwise, he’s a healthy boy who is rediscovering the joy of life.

Cole is affectionate, loyal, and loves nothing more than keeping his foster mom company—whether curled up beside her during TV time or purring contentedly in her lap. His purr is so loud and happy that we made a video just so you can hear it! He is a velcro cat - he would love to keep you company and stay by your side.

He’s also easy to care for: he has perfect litter box manners, a healthy appetite, and has lived peacefully with other cats and even a small dog.

Cole is looking for a forever home where he can feel safe, loved, and cherished for the wonderful companion he is. After everything he’s overcome, he truly deserves it.
