My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey. I'm Boss Cat, and yes, the name fits. I run things around here. Not in a mean way, just... confidently. I’ve got that “main character energy,” and I wear it like a tuxedo (literally... I’m black and white, and always look sharp).

I’m not the clingy type, but when I do want attention, you’ll know. And when you do pet me, go for the butt, that’s the magic spot. Scratches back there? Five stars. Chef’s kiss. A++.

I’m cool with chill humans who respect the vibe. No drama, no chaos... just mutual respect, comfy naps, and some treats here and there.

If you're looking for a cat with charisma, charm, and a little swagger, I’m your guy. You bring the home, I’ll bring the boss energy. Let’s make it official.

Apply to meet me. Boss Cat is ready to run your heart.

More about this shelter

The Oahu SPCA was founded in April of 2009 and launched its mission, "Every healthy, treatable animal will find a forever home." The overwhelming support of community members was instrumental in helping to establish the first animal shelter in the state of Hawaii with a "no-kill philosophy." On July 18, 2009, 432 animals were relinquished to the Oahu SPCA the Largest Animal Rescue in the history of Hawaii. The Oahu SPCA rescued all 432 animals in 48 hours after the owner of an animal sanctuary in Waianae passes away.
