My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Nico, and I’m an almost 2-year-old black cat weighing in at 14 pounds of sleek, cuddly charm. I’m a friendly, affectionate guy who loves being near my people, whether that’s lounging beside you on the couch or following you around to see what you’re up to.

I enjoy quiet moments, gentle pets, and soft cuddles, but I also have a curious side—I like exploring my surroundings and discovering new favorite spots to nap or watch the world go by. I’m easygoing and sweet, and I promise to fill your home with love, purrs, and companionship.

I’m looking for a family who will appreciate a mellow, loving cat who thrives on attention and affection. If you’re searching for a loyal little buddy to share your days with, I’d be so happy to meet you and become your forever friend. Adopt me today!

More about this shelter

The Oahu SPCA was founded in April of 2009 and launched its mission, "Every healthy, treatable animal will find a forever home." The overwhelming support of community members was instrumental in helping to establish the first animal shelter in the state of Hawaii with a "no-kill philosophy." On July 18, 2009, 432 animals were relinquished to the Oahu SPCA the Largest Animal Rescue in the history of Hawaii. The Oahu SPCA rescued all 432 animals in 48 hours after the owner of an animal sanctuary in Waianae passes away.
