Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Blacky is a quiet, independent cat who prefers to observe the world from a safe, tucked-away spot for now. He often keeps to himself and feels most secure in his own space, especially during busy moments like cleaning time. He’s still learning to trust people and will let you know when he’s feeling unsure, so a calm, patient approach is important.
One thing that does win Blacky over is food—he enjoys treats from a lick mat, which has been the best way to see his curious side come out. With time and consistency, this can be a great way to build trust with him.
Blacky shows strong instincts and would likely make an excellent mouser. He would benefit greatly from a home that can offer him more room to roam, where he can gain confidence at his own pace. With space, patience, and understanding, Blacky has the potential to become much more comfortable around people and truly settle into his environment.
If you’re experienced with shy or independent cats and are willing to let a relationship grow slowly, Blacky could be a rewarding companion.
