My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

For inquiries email Lynne@compactcaninerescue.org Location: Suffolk, VA to Fee: $400 Meet Charlie: The Social Butterfly Meet Charlie, the friendly neighborhood Social Committee Chairman! Charlie has a knack for making everyone feel welcomehe's never met a stranger and is always eager to organize the next Yappy Hour. His outgoing personality shines in every setting, making him a beloved companion wherever he goes. Charlie and his brother Chase originally hail from Northern Virginia. The two were adopted together as young dogs from a Baltimore rescue. They shared a loving home until recently, when, sadly, their owner passed away, leaving them in need of a new family. Charlie weighs around 13 pounds and is approximately 11 years old. He is a loving and affectionate boy who quickly adapted to his foster home, acting as though he had always lived there. His even temperament and go-with-the-flow attitude make him easy to love. Charlie gets along well with the resident dogs and his foster parents, bringing joy and calm to those around him. While Charlie and Chase are not bonded, they have shared their lives for the past eight years. Currently, each is thriving in separate foster homes, showing resilience and adaptability. Both boys are in good healththey are neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, and have recently had dental procedures completed. They are both ready for adoption and eager to find their new families. Dont miss the opportunity to welcome one or both of these wonderful dogs into your life. More about this rescue

The founding members of our rescue are dog lovers. Especially, small dogs! When we saw the need to help so many small dogs of various breeds and mixes, we collaborated to form a non-breed-specific rescue to help as many small dogs as possible. Our mission is to help dogs who weigh up to 20 pounds.

Adoption is not first come first served. We match our dogs to potential owners to ensure the best outcomes for all involved! Our philosophy is: Rescue - Rehabilitate - Rejoice!

Our mission statement is as follows:
Compact Canine Rescue is a network of volunteers committed to rehabilitating small dogs and rehoming them with forever families on the east coast of the United States. We are passionate about promoting responsible pet parenting and educating the public on what makes dogs healthy and happy.
